Falling Flowers

Falling Flowers was my second stamp set that I have picked from my needs some inkin jar. This is another set that I have not used in a while… I am really liking my little jar.

I decided to use the embossing paste background layer that I created the other day for this card. I randomly picked a reinker out of my box and used that color to shade the embossing paste. The winning color was Bermuda Bay. Once again a color that I do not use that often. I tinted the paste with just one drop of reinker. I used my Silicone craft sheet to mix the paste on since I could easily just wash it when I was done. IMG_0484

I used some old washi tape to secure the cardstock to the decorative mask and then I did a light layer of the paste over the mask covering the entire piece of cardstock. The lighter the layer, the faster the drying time. To help speed up the drying process- I gave it a quick heating with my heat tool.

I stamped the larger flower image and the leaf image in Memento Black ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I colored them using the incolor markers and cut the images out. I added just a touch of the clear Wink of Stella to add some shine to the flowers.

I love how the final card came out. What a fun way to add some texture to your card.

New Goodies

One of the new items in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog is the embossing paste.

I thought I would give this new technique a try. The Pattern Party Decorative Masks go

perfect with this ooy gooy fun paste.

I used the diamonds mask for the card.
